Privacy Policy

hangarpad (“we,” “us”), operated by SquidCode, runs a marketplace and directory for hangar and covered-storage space. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. We keep it short and plain.

What we collect

  • Email address — when you set an availability alert, use the contact form, or sign in with Google.
  • Name and Google account ID — if you sign in with Google (via OAuth). We never receive your Google password.
  • Listing content — details and photos you submit when listing a space.
  • Usage data — pages viewed, approximate location, device/browser, and (via our analytics) session interactions. We use self-hosted Umami analytics with session replay and Google Analytics 4.
  • Cookies— an essential sign-in cookie (“hp_session”) and analytics cookies.

How we use it

  • Operate the service and show you relevant listings.
  • Send the emails you ask for — availability alerts, listing manage links, and replies to your messages.
  • Understand usage and improve the product.
  • Prevent abuse and keep the service secure.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not send marketing email you didn’t ask for.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers that make hangarpad work, each acting on our behalf: Google (sign-in), Resend (email delivery), Google Analytics and Umami (analytics), Cloudflare (DNS and photo storage), and DigitalOcean (hosting). We may disclose information if required by law.

Aggregated listings

Many listings are facts we compile from publicly published sources (municipal airports, authorities, FBOs, storage facilities), always with a link back to the source. Those sources have their own privacy practices; this policy covers only hangarpad.

Your choices

  • Alerts — every alert email has a one-click unsubscribe link.
  • Access or deletion — email [email protected] to see or delete the data we hold about you.
  • Cookies — you can block analytics cookies in your browser; the sign-in cookie is required only if you choose to sign in.

Retention

We keep alert subscriptions until you unsubscribe, contact messages and account data while your account is active or as needed to operate the service, and analytics data per our providers’ defaults.

Children

hangarpad is not directed to children under 16.
